Tiny Tots is….

A  parent participating preschool licensed by the Ministry of Community and Social Services which ensures that we as parents hire a qualified ECE teacher to prepare a variety of programs, maintain the recommended adult-child ratio and provide a safe, clean and secure environment for our children.

Parents participate…

By choosing a co-op preschool for your child you are making a choice that requires your commitment.  Parents of Tiny Tots children share the responsibility for administration and organization of the Nursery School.  As a Tiny Tot parent you will:

become a voting member
volunteer on a parent committee
attend meetings
participate in fundraising initiatives
be a “duty day” assistant on a rotating basis.

Through your participation you will enjoy new experiences and make new friends.  Tiny Tots has many options available to parents including working parents to try and be as flexible as possible to meet the many different needs of today’s families.

What to Expect….

You will be disappointed in Nursery School if you expect your child to:

• Say his A, B, C’s
  Learn his 1, 2, 3’s
  Recite his poetries
  Perform and please
  Bring home daily artistries.

You will be pleased with nursery school when you see that your child has improved in his daily ability to:

• Explore and run,
  Share his fun,
  Finish what’s begun,
  Put away when done,
  Demand less “all or non”,
  Restrict his “no”,
  Let mother go,
  Accept what’s so.

  Tiny Tots Nursery School Programs

Toddler Class

10 spaces
1 day/week – Wednesdays
9:00am-11:30am
Ages 20 to 30 months
$52 per month. ($55 For Sept. 2011 start)

Preschool Class

16 spaces
2 days/week – Monday & Thursday
9:00am-11:30am
Ages 30 months to 4.5 years
$80 per month. ($85 for Sept. 2011 start)

*  $15 registration fee
*  $25 refundable handbook fee
*  $35 per duty day for non duty day option

Learning Through Play

The Tiny Tots preschool programs help your child to:

• develop social skills and decision making skills
  cultivate self esteem and confidence.

Tiny Tots is a special place where children learn to respect the feelings and property of others and learn how to be part of a group.  Children will create, explore and investigate by themselves and with others through art, music, games, gross motor apparatus, play centres and more.

Plus family members can enjoy special event days, seasonal parties and local field trips.  Tiny Tots has been a part of West Elgin since 1975.

Tiny Tots’ Closet

 We offer gently used children’s clothing and toy items at reasonable prices.  Donations are always accepted.
Hours: Monday to Friday from 9am to 5pm.

Stay and Play

A fun playtime for children under 6 and their parents or caregivers!  Come for songs, stories, crafts and lots of toys!
Tuesdays and Fridays from 9:30-11:30am on the upper floor.
